In a vibrant celebration of love, culture, and tradition, Bukola Esther Adegboyega from the esteemed Apekomara family of Odogbolu, Ijebu, Ogun State, and Olamide Solomon Matthew from the renowned Awori family of Lagos State exchanged vows in a grand wedding ceremony on Saturday. The event, held at the picturesque Afid Goshen Halls and Event Centre in Ibafo, attracted a large gathering of family, friends, and dignitaries from across the country.

Presiding over the event as Chairman was Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, who offered heartfelt advice to the newlyweds, emphasizing the pillars of a strong and lasting marriage.

“Marriage is a journey that thrives on love, respect, and mutual support,” Ambassador Ajadi said, drawing from his personal experiences. “It’s essential to cherish and respect one another, to forgive easily, and to foster understanding. These are the qualities that sustain a marriage.”

He also highlighted the importance of loyalty and collaboration between spouses, noting, “Loyalty is the cornerstone of a successful marriage. When couples stand by each other, they can weather any storm together. It’s also crucial that spouses complement each other’s strengths, creating a partnership that’s greater than the sum of its parts.”

In addition to love, Ambassador Ajadi underscored the significance of discipline, integrity, loyalty, and commitment in a successful marriage. Love, he emphasized, encompasses settling disputes promptly, loving one another deeply, and fostering respect. It involves learning to forgive, encouraging each other’s self-esteem, and disregarding negative influences.

Discipline, according to Ajadi, ensures maintaining integrity and loyalty, fostering a committed relationship where both partners are submissive to one another. This creates a foundation of mutual respect and understanding, essential for a lasting and fulfilling marriage.

A highlight of the wedding festivities was GyC’s captivating performance of his latest single, ‘Mailo,’ marking its debut before an enthralled audience. The crowd joyously embraced the infectious rhythm, dancing exuberantly to the beats. Additionally, GyC treated the guests to another hit, “Woman,” which resonated deeply, especially with his enthusiastic female fans who sang along to its irresistible chorus.

GyC’s engaging stage presence included a memorable moment when he invited the newlyweds to join him onstage, further enhancing the vibrant atmosphere of the occasion.

Among the performers was rising juju artiste Temitope Olajide, popularly known as Indomie, who also added to the cultural richness of the ceremony.

The event unfolded amidst cultural splendor and heartfelt moments, uniting guests from both families and beyond. The union of Bukola and Olamide, representing the Apekomara and Awori families from Ogun and Lagos States respectively, symbolized not just the coming together of two individuals, but a celebration of unity and harmony.
