The New Nigeria People\u2019s Party (NNPP) in Ogun State has called on former State Chairman of the party, Mr Olaposi Sunday Oginni to stop parading himself as the National Secretary of the party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a release signed by the State Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the party on Sunday, Comrade Omokehinde Olayemi Olowu accused the former Chairman of impersonating the office of the National Secretary of the party by parading himself as the national secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He called on the public not to fall for Oginni\u2019s fraudulent claim that he is the national secretary of the party, saying he has ceased to be a member of the NNPP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the party\u2019s legitimate national secretary remains General Dipo Olayokun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He explained that Oginni is no longer a member of the NNPP pointing out that he was expelled for gross political misconduct having been caught to be selling party\u2019s ideas to opposition parties<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that Oginni\u2019s arrest on June 6, 2023, over allegations including financial misappropriation and fraud, further discredits his standing within the party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ogun NNPP PRO emphasized that Oginni\u2019s expulsion renders him unfit to speak for the party, highlighting that his expulsion from the party has not been reversed by the National Working Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olowu pointed out that Oginni\u2019s recent arrest over allegations of financial misappropriation, fraud, and money laundering, has removed him from the position of credibility from members of the society in general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He called the attention of the public to an earlier statement by the NNPP Southwest PRO, Kilamuwaye Badmus, who had warned against giving media attention to Oginni, citing his expulsion from the party and accusations of impersonation as reasons for the caution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
